On Success

Why do so many people reach success and then fail? It should be a thesis statement.

John was one of people who reached success and then fail. He made some mistakes on his business. First, he had too much confidence after he made it. Second, he stoped working hard and pushed himself and he just went back and relax. Third, he was working on managing even though he was not good at to. Finally, when he had depression, he bought a sports car to fix it and depended on taking antidepressant pills. Money and pills never made it better.

Success is not one way to go, he should have been keep working on these, passion, work, focus, push, ideas, improve, serve, persist and then he wouldn't fail. "Success is a continuous journey." This is the main point of John's presentation.

The Internet Technology

Now, it's not too much to say that we can't live without the Internet technology. We depend on it. Emaling, Skype, SNS, like Facebook and mixi, and websites, they are all free, so they are very easy to use.

I use my laptop almost everyday. It's very useful! I've got it when I was in the grade 11 for studying abroad. From that time, I often use it to gather information for my presentation or paper, to check my Email, and blogging. Recently, Skype is my favorite to get in touch with my friend.

The internet is very useful and easy to use, but all of the information on it are not true, so we must see which one is exact information.

end of the semester..

This week, all the students in KGU are very busy because we have a lot of things to do! like studying for final exams, preparing presentations, writing reports, and so on.

I have lots of tasks to do too, but I work part time, so I hardly have anytime to study. I would less my part time work, but I should consider about my daily life and saving some money for studying abroad too.

I usually make a list of tasks to do, and I would work on the task which is near deadline, but presentations are need research, so should think about it too.

I want my teachers to .. ease up on us LOL But anyway, I will fisnish my tasks before deadline!

New Boy

I've watched the film "New Boy". This was a story about the boy named Joseph from Africa, who has miserable past and the teacher and students in Ireland.

This film didn't tell me that much information about his back ground. I only know are he was from Africa, his father, working as a teacher got killed by rifle in front of him, he spoke English, and somehow he came to Ireland.

And I could find some differences between two classes, African class and Ireland class. First one, the students in Ireland use the notebooks and pencils when they studied, but the students in Africa used the black boards and chalks and they returned them to teacher after class.

Joseph and 2 boys had a fight, so they were punish by their teacher, then their class mate, Isabella called their teacher "bitch", then the boys looked at eache other and laughed. I've experienced like that situation before. Sometimes, unexpected happening develop a friendship. There was a laughter and also new friendship. Like that thing and that people can fit in the new culture..those are filmmaker wanted to tell us. ..i guess.

Cell phone manner

In Japan, people think these cell phone manners, like not talking on the cell phone on the train and turning off the cell phone around the priority seat for elderly people and disabled people are universal.

The reason why we should turn off the cell phone around the priority seat is there might be somebody with pacepaker. Electromagnetic ray from cell phone affect pacemakers used by people who has heart problems.

2 years ago, when I was in Canada, I saw some stickers of teaching cell phone manner on the side of the train and the bus and there were some signs at a station too, and they were almost same kinds of cell phone manner, so I think there is not that much differences between these 2 countries.

These days, A lot of people don't have the sense to use cell phone. We should consider about the cell phone manner.

The country I'd like to visit is.....

India!! What is your image of India? Curry, sari, turban, or world heritage like the Taj Mahal? India is a country in South Asia. It shares land borders with Pakistan to the west and china and Burma to the east. It's the 7th largest country by geographical area and 2nd most populous country with over 1.2 billion people in the word.

When i was still little, my grandpa who is catholic told me about what Mother Teresa had done for poor people in India. She spent her life among the poorest of the poor. I was so moved. She was perhaps the world's most compassionate person.

When I became a sophomore, I've watched some TV programs which history and lots of world heritage of India were featured, then I felt more and more want to go to India. One day, I've got a pamphlet telling about travelling to India on volunteer work. I felt it was kind of a message from my grandpa to let me go to India. I know people might think I'm an idiot, but I decided to go to India next year (if I could save money for a trip to India LOL). I think volunteering is a noble activity, which is based on free choice and a genuine desire to help others.

And actually, I have few friends who studied with me in Canada as international students in India. I still keep in touch with them on Facebook, so I hope I can see them again down there, then my trip will be fabulous!!

Disney Movies

The media that have changed my understanding of life and way of thinking are Disney movies. For example, Snow White, Peter Pan, The Lion King, Aladdin, and so on. My parents gave me and my little sister lots of Disney movie videos when we were little, so we were raised on Disney movies.

I learned the importance of family tie and unified cooperation from Simba and Mufasa in The Lion King. And I learned if you wish and put a lot of effort, dreams come true from the Aladdin and Genie in Aladdin. In Cinderella, I learned entire life wouldn't be bad days. If I was in bad days, someday, I would have my day.

I love both the stories and music in Disney movies. Most of Disney's stories are from Grimm's fairly tales. They are contain many lessons, but I could learn in an enjoyable format and I think the Disney music helped it.

Sometimes, I still watch the Disney. I know it's kind of kidstuff, but I think it's good to flight from realty like when I feel worried and sad. And I'm always encouraged by them.

Wonderful Tokunoshima

Tokunoshima is where my dad grew up. Tokunoshima is the small island which is belonging to Kagoshima prefecture, but actually it's located closer to Okinawa prefecture. That is why Tokunoshima's culture and language(dialect) are almost same as Okinawa. There is very beautiful blue ocean, tropical fruit and throughout the year, it's warm, so nobody has outer clothes.

There are many differences between Tokunoshima and Osaka. For example, dialect of Tokunoshima has been said that it was made up with Indonesian, English, Taiwanese, and Japanese which was used during Jomon period. It's totally different from dialect of Osaka.

When I was little, I visited my grandparents. One night, I was going to lock the door properly, but my grandma said "you don't need to lock the door!" to me. People in Tokunoshima never locked the door. And surprisingly, daytime, the sometimes leave the door open! In Osaka, not only me lock the door as soon as I get home, so I just couldn't believe it and felt like so worried. I think this is not only about the custom, it's also about the humanity too because we lock the door here to prevent crimes, but in Tokunoshima, people never locked means there is no crimes!

I love such a peaceful land of Tokunoshima.

Being a sophomore of SIS, KGU

Even now, i can still remember vividly when i attended entrance ceremony. I had no friends from my high school and get into KGU, so i was kind of nervous and also excited about making new friends :) In the past year, I've got a lot of frineds so far and awesome memories with them too!
When we became sophomore, we had class transitioin and many friends went study abroad. Then, I just realised that I still didn't know many people in SIS X( I didn't even know most of people in our English class, but i thought it was good time to make new friends!
We moved a step closer to graduate which means we should act like responsible grown up for our own selves. Next year, we are going to work on a job hunting, so we should be thinking about the future. The students in SIS have to go study abroad, otherwise we would never be able to graduate. Some of the students already left Japan and the other students including me are going to leave next semester.
This year would be busy, but I'm sure it's going to be exciting year as well and I can improve my English ability more and more:3

meaning of being an adult

People in Japan think when people turn the age
of 20 years old, then they are regarded as an adult.
from then, people can smoke, can drink alcohol
and can vote in an election.
next year, I will get various rights when we turn 20.

but what exactly is the meaning of being an adult??

i think the point is not the age.
even people aged 20 and older,
sometimes don't look like grownup.
i mean..not about the looking, but inner.
i don't wanna be like that,
so i will continue lifelong learning to be an adult.

earliest memory

when i was 3 years old, my parents and i
went to Tokunoshima to see my grandparents.
Tokunoshima is where my dad grew up.

i usually visit there twice a year.
that island, Tokunoshima is located near Okinawa.
so, there is beautiful clear ocean and
it's warm all through the year like Hawaii.
i really love to be there.
people are not russhing like in Osaka,
i feel like time slows down there.

i used to love playing on the beach with sand,
so my parents took me to the beach.

it was really hot day, so my dad started to swim
in the sea, but then i saw my dad was like..
getting gone from my sight!
so i just screamed
"dad! don't go! it's dangerous! you will die!"
LOL

but i didn't even know what the sea is.
i thought wave was taking my dad away
from me..maybe..

but after that, ive never been afraid of the sea.
and started to like playing marine sports so much :)

2010年11月24日水曜日

the place i wanna visit

is..Egypt!!

im interested in ancient Egypt.
its so mysterious, isnt it??

most famous thing related to Egypt is i guess pyramid.
today, archaeologists say the pyramids are graves of rulers,
but no one knew exactly why and how the pyramids were built.

i really wanna visit Egypt to see the pyramid
with my naked eyes in the future.

Fall is here!

its gettin colder everyday X(
i cant get rid of the cold still.

i like summer better!!!
in fall, no sweat is good hah, but i luv the marine sports,
so its very cold to be in the sea this season lol

and its a bother to choose the cloth to wear
every morning with checking the weather forcast :(
i wna wear light clothing, but i have to wear heavily~~

but cant wait for special days like christmas and new years day!
time does fly fast !! Geeeee.

My Type

Well, i dont exactly know wat my type is.. :(

coz i fell in luv with different type of boys each tym so far.
well, i said each tym, but not so really often actually LOL

it doesnt really matter wat he looks like to me.

so,,,the most important thing with luv for me is the "sense of worth".
i want some1 who likes wat i like n wat i hate.
but on the other hand, i wna know different values too.
coz i think it might teach me something with getting know
these variety of worth which i dont have.

have to see the inner of character anyway.
"itz unwise to judge a book by its cover."

waz trend in JAP?

i think itz "MANGA"!!

if da new one of popular series came on da market,
itz gna be sold out soon and head the list of sales ranking LOL
even adult ppl buy and read it hah

and we also have got many trends which derived
from it too! like ANIME, cosplay, etc...

well, i don really like so geeky stuff,
but i do love the Ghibli animations :)
i grew up with those Ghibli movies
and have lots of DVD lol
i still luv them <333

itz more dan just a trend anymore!
itz been kinda japanese culture★

2010年10月19日火曜日

unusual cultural custom

i think most unusual cultural custom
which ive ever seen is "eating with hand".

i do eat with my hand when i eat pizza,
but i dont really eat with it except pizza lol

coz i think its kinda hard to eat and
dirty to eat with my hand :(

maybe its kind of religious matter and
we japanese might be seen we have
weird culture too, so i wouldnt interfere.
but how do they eat soup?
or they dont eat soup?

i wanna know more about each countries
variety of unusual cultures for me! :)

wid my homestay family n friends in Canada

but i just wondering dat i heard..
these services r gna be charged in year :'(

anyway, im kinda dependent on di internet technology.
den important stuff with it is considering
the lots of facts on di internet r really true or not.

Now i really really miss my high school days :'(
but after i graduate Kwangaku, im sure ill say "i miss my college days!" LOL

And my family and I went on a camping trip to Kyoto.
We usually go there for camping every summer <333

We left our home at 2 a.m. by the car.
It was still dark outside and i was so exciting :>
when we got there, we set up the tent on the beach.
We had a BBQ on the beach and swam in the sea.

We droped in a hot spring resort on our way home
and relaxed in the hot spring bath with the nice ocean view.
i hope i can go camping trip with my family next summer!

i really enjoyed my summer vacation :)
